XIMEA has announced that its XiD line of scientific and industrial USB 3.0 cameras that utilize the full four-tap potential of the cameras’ Sony CCD image sensors, are now shipping. The cameras are currently available in four models:
- MD028xy-SY: Features a2.8 MPixel Sony ICX674 sensor with a 4.54 µm x 4.54 µm pixel size and 60 fps frame rate.
- MD061xy-SY: Features a6.1 MPixel Sony ICX694 sensor with a 4.54 µm x 4.54 µm pixel size and 30 fps frame rate.
- MD091xy-SY: Features a9.1 MPixel Sony ICX814 sensor with a 3.69 µm x 3.69 µm pixel size and 20 fps frame rate.
- MD120xy-SY: Features a12 MPixel Sony ICX834 sensor with a 3.1 µm x 3.1 µm pixel size and 15 fps frame rate.
All cameras support single, dual and quadruple tap readout modes of the Sony CCD sensors and are compatible with a wide range of vision libraries. XiD cameras are suitable for use in machine vision and scientific imaging applications, including life sciences and flat panel inspection tasks.
