Featuring sCMOS image sensors from Fairchild Imaging, the pco.edge 3.1 and pco.edge 4.2LT cameras are designed specifically for research applications. The pco.edge 3.1 is equipped with a 3.1 MPixel CIS2521 image sensor with a 6.5 µm pixel size and can achieve a frame rate of 50 fps at full resolution. It also features global and rolling shutter readout and a quantum efficiency of >60%.

The pco.edge 4.2LT camera features a 4.2 MPixel CIS2020 image sensor with a 6.5 µm pixel size and can achieve a frame rate of 40 fps at 2048 x 2048. In addition, it features >70% quantum efficiency, as well as global and rolling shutter readout. Both camera models feature a spectral range of 370 nm to 1100 nm and a USB 3.0 interface.
