OmniVision Technologies Inc. has announced the release of the OV5658 and OV10823 CameraChip image sensors, which are designed specifically for security and surveillance applications. The OV5658 sensor is a 1/3.2” 5 MPixel CameraChip sensor with a 1.75 µm x 1.75 µm pixel size that achieves a frame rate of 30 fps at full resolution. The OV10823 sensor is a 1/2.6” 10 MPixel CameraChip sensor with a 1.4 µm x 1.4 µm pixel size that achieves a frame rate of 30 fps at full resolution.
