Designed for such applications as medical and scientific imaging, surveillance, and intelligent transportation systems, the KAE-04471 and KAE-02152 from ON Semiconductor are Interline Transfer Electron Multiplication CCD (IT-EMCCD) image sensors that feature a 7.4 µm pixel size. The KAE-04471 sensor is a 4.4 MPixel sensor, while the KAE-02152 is a 2.1 MPixel sensor. Both global shutter sensors target low light imaging applications and feature intra-scene switchable gain, low noise architecture, and are available in Bayer color or monochrome versions. Additionally, the KAE-04471 reaches a maximum frame rate of 30 fps, while the KAE-02152 can reach 60 fps.
