At XPONENTIAL 2018from April 30 to May 3, Sierra-Olympic Technologies will showcase some of its latest thermal imaging cameras, including the Vayu HD thermal camera (pictured), which was designed for deployment into applications including security, border protection, military imaging, airborne recon, and wide area surveillance.
The IP67-rated camera features a 1920 x 1200 uncooled VOx microbolometer with a 12 µm pixel size, a top frame rate of 30 fps, and a longwave infrared (LWIR) spectral response of 8 to 14 µm. Vayu HD’s processor core also offers real-time extended image processing tools, electronic image stabilization, on-board image and video storage, and optional capabilities including object tracking and moving target detection. Additionally, the camera offers three video formats: HD-SDI, h.264 IP-Video, or 16-bit Camera Link output.
Sierra-Olympic Technologies will also highlight the following products at its booth:
- The Vinden 75 compact continuous zoom thermal camera, which features a 640 x 480 uncooled VOx microbolometer with a 17 µm pixel size and a top frame rate of 60 fps. The LWIR Vinden 75 is sensitive in the 7.5 to 13 µm wavelength.
- The Vinden LR series of OEM long-range thermal cameras, which feature a 640 x 480 uncooled VOx microbolometer with a 17 µm pixel size and a top frame rate of 60 fps. These cameras are also sensitive in the 7.5 to 13 µm wavelength and have several zoom lens options that provide a narrow horizontal field of view as small as 1.5°.
- Leonardo DRS’s Tenum 640, which offers a 640 x 512 uncooled VOx microbolometer with a 10 µm pixel size and a top frame rate of 60 fps. Sensitive in the 8 to 14 µm wavelength, this camera is available with or without optics.
