Pleora Technologies Adds New Compression Feature to Embedded Vision Platform

Feb. 22, 2024
New lossless compression technology designed for machine vision applications.

Pleora Technologies has launched its new RapidPIX lossless compression technology, now available on Pleora’s iPORT NTx-Mini-LC embedded vision platform. The iPORT NTx-Mini-LC, is GigE 1.2 and GenICam compliant, operates in line scan and area scan modes, and has 32 MB frame buffer. The added RapidPIX compression technology is designed to increase data throughput by supporting low transmission of GigE vision compliant packets at more than 1.5 Gbps over existing 1Gb Ethernet infrastructure. Latency performance is less than two lines at 1024x1024 resolution on a Mono8 pixel format with two taps at 40 MHz.

The iPORT NTx- Mini-LC, with RapidPIX technology, is designed to be easily integrated into existing infrastructure, reducing the need for expensive infrastructure upgrades. It is designed for a variety of embedded machine vision applications, including industrial camera tasks, manufacturing, inspection, and medical imaging.
