3-D laser and sensor control technology supplier LMI Technologies (Vancouver, BC, Canada) has signed distribution agreements with Braas Company (Oldsmar, FL, USA), FLW of PA Inc. (Frazer, PA, USA), and DVC machinevision BV (Netherlands/Belgium/ Luxembourg). The new distribution channels are intended to expand the sales of the Gocator 3-D smart sensor to new factory automation customers.

Gocator laser-line displacement sensors feature built-in web tools that enable users to perform inline part inspections, quality controls, communicate results (either directly or to a PLC), as well as make sorting and tracking decisions. The devices can be used as fully functional standalone sensors or combined to create multi-Gocator systems.

The distribution partners anticipate reaching customers looking for 3-D functionality to support a range of noncontact measurement tasks in industrial automation settings.
