National Instruments’ CVS-1457RT is a compactvision system powered by a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom processor that is designed to acquire and process images in real time from multiple cameras. It features two independent GigE Vision ports with Power over Ethernet technology and its ports support camera triggering over the Ethernet bus, so users can power the camera, send triggers, and acquire images all from a single Ethernet cable. It features FPGA-enabled I/O, a small form factor, two USB ports, a serial port, a LAN port, and eight isolated digital outputs. In addition, the CVS-1457RT is programmable by LabVIEW software. The new vision system from NI is suitable for use in vision-guided robotics, industrial inspection, and OEM vision applications and will be showcased at the AIA Vision Show in Boston from April 15-17.
