Based on the company’s iVu integrated vision sensor family, the Gen2 series of sensors by Banner Engineering offers Ethernet connectivity and other new capabilities. The iVu Plus TG Gen2 and BCR Gen2 vision sensors feature a 1/3" 752 x 480 pixel CMOS image sensor with adjustable field of view and a maximum frame rate of 100 fps. Ethernet connectivity enables the sensors to share inspection data directly with PLCs, PCs, or other factory devices. In addition, the iVu Plus Gen2 model can be configured to operate using four different sensor tools: Area (verifies the presence of a feature), blemish (identifies flaws on a part), match (identifies matches to a reference pattern), and sort (recognizes and sorts parts).

The Gen2 series is available in four models: iVu Plus TG Gen2 Integrated, iVu Plus TG Gen2 Remote, iVu Plus BCR2 Integrated, and iVu Plus BCR2 Remote.
