Jochem Herrmann, chief scientist and co-founder of the Dutch camera manufacturer Adimec (Eindhoven, The Netherlands), has been invited to join the board of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA; Barcelona, Spain).

In the past, Herrmann has played a leading role in the development of the CoaXPress and CameraLink standards.

"In addition to my general responsibilities as an EMVA board member, I see it as my primary goal to help EMVA achieve its ambition to become an important source for machine vision standards," says Herrmann.

The EMVA general assembly will be asked to approve the decision to appoint Herrmann at their next meeting.
