In this final installment of a three-part series, VSD Editor-in-Chief Sharon Spielman interviews Jeff Gentry, staff engineer with Shaw Industries, and Uli Palli, chief technology officer for Accella AI, about an AI vision-powered pallet verification system developed by Shaw Industries and Accella AI to replace manual barcode scanning and visual checks. Using LUCID Vision Labs cameras and Accella's deep-learning platform, the system captures pallet images, counts cases, reads barcodes with OCR, integrates with existing systems, and provides visual alerts to improve speed and accuracy.
