JANUARY 12--Adept Technology Inc. (Livermore, CA; www.adept.com), a manufacturer of robotic systems and motion-control and machine-vision technology, announced that its Adept PLC Server robotic interface, compatible with the Adept Cobra PLC line of SCARA robots, has been approved for participation in the Rockwell Automation Asia Pacific Encompass Program. Adept plans to market its PLC products in Asia utilizing Rockwell Automation's Program, which identifies and references third-party products that complement Rockwell Automation products. It facilitates cooperative marketing efforts with suppliers of products that help solve the automation needs of mutual customers.
"Extending the PLC Server product into Rockwell's Asia Pacific Encompass Program will help us gain the market exposure for our line of PLC-controlled robots in key expanding markets, such as China," said John Dulchinos, vice president of sales for Adept Technology. As a member of the Asia Pacific Encompass Program, Adept will benefit from cooperative marketing programs such as Rockwell's "Complete Automation On the Move" events that travel to local regions throughout Asia and India. "This gives us broad exposure to a new customer base and a new channel of distributors in the region," said Dulchinos.
