APRIL 3--GOEPEL electronic, a worldwide vendor of electronic and optical test and inspection equipment based in Jena, Germany, has opened a second office in the United States. Application engineer Jan Heiber will set up the second contact point for North American Boundary Scan customers in San Jose, CA.
Direct inquiries for local customer service from America led to the decision to open an application office in the midst of Silicon Valley. Jan Heiber, who has been working for GOEPEL electronic since 1998, will be responsible for system presentations and installations, prospect customer support, the applicative support for present customers, as well as fairs and user group meetings, temporarily for one year.
Up to now, the company has run an office in Austin, TX, directed by Heiko Ehrenberg in cooperation with the American distributor Huntron Inc.
