APRIL 2--Ames Photonics (Iowa, IA; www.aphot.com) offers a series of detectors/cameras with internal USB interfaces and both industrial- and scientific-grade linear CCDs. Industrial-grade CCDs target the 360- to 1100-nm region and are selected for no bad pixels. Scientific grade-CCDs serve the 200- to 1100-nm range. Upconversion coatings for the 1550-nm NIR range are also available.

Arrays of 2048 elements with 14-μm-wide pixels and 3000 elements with 7-μm-wide pixels are available. Exposure times can be controlled to the microsecond range with some models. Windows device drivers are available.
