A free webinar that explains how hyperspectral imaging can be used to help analyze documents is to be hosted by ChemImage Corp. (Pittsburgh, PA) on Sept. 27, 2011 at 10am Eastern Time.

During the one-hour webinar, Jeffrey Beckstead, PhD, director of product development, will explain how information can be extracted from a hyperspectral image as well as basic spectral image-processing techniques such as flat-field correction and normalization.

He will also describe more advanced forms of spectral image-processing methods such as multivariate statistical analysis.

The webinar is a follow up to an earlier webinar presented by Sara Nedley -- a Forensic Scientist at ChemImage -- who explained the basics of how hyperspectral imaging could be used in forensic applications.

Those interested in registering for the webinar -- entitled “Spectral Image Processing - Enhancement of Document Examinations with Hyperspectral Imaging” -- can visit http://Ez.com/Spectralwebinar.
