MARCH 26--Futuretel Digital Imaging (FDI; Silicon Valley, CA;www.futuretel.com), a provider of military-grade digital surveillance technology, has launched its SmartCam System for video surveillance systems. The system can process security applications in real time for proactive surveillance. Security users can access critical information to assist them in preventing dangerous or threatening situations.

FDI's digital surveillance system meets the requirements of large, mission-critical situations with imaging clarity at long ranges by combining image processing and robotics. It can be synchronized to track detected movements and activities seamlessly from room to room, for example, and operate with frame-lock accuracy.

Market analysts say the global marketplace for high-end video surveillance is projected to grow from $4 billion to $10 billion over the next three years.
