FEBRUARY 24--VistaScape Technology Corp. (Atlanta, GA; www.vistascape.com), a supplier of integrated security and surveillance management software, and FLIR Systems (www.flir.com), a supplier of infrared imaging products, have agreed to integrate FLIR's thermal imaging technology with VistaScape's Security Data Management System (SDMS) to provide an object-detection solution for homeland security, counter terrorism, and force protection applications. FLIR's ThermoVision Security family of imagers will be the sensor suite component to VistaScape's SDMS.

FLIR's thermal imagers generate a crisp image day or night and in any weather condition that will be calibrated and mapped onto the SDMS platform. SDMS algorithms will detect objects and track motion from the FLIR image.

SDMS is designed for a broad array of government and commercial solutions, including force protection, antiterrorism and homeland defense. Based on Microsoft .NET, the software platform integrates any type of security sensor (GPS, Access Control, CCTV, and so forth) from different locations over distributed networks and presents analyzed information in a single, Web-based user interface. SDMS's level of integration provides the ability to detect specified potential threats, depict visual alerts on a 3-D model of a secure area, and instantly alert forces via wireless devices. Advantages include an increase in early warning detection, shared information at multiple command centers and management levels, and reductions in manpower.
