e2v has announced the opening of a larger office in Yokohama, Japan, which is the latest addition to the company’s expanding network in the Asia Pacific region.

The Yokohama team will provide local expertise to e2v’s growing customer base across its Semiconductors, Imaging and RF Power businesses. Specialist technical support services will be on-site to partner with e2v’s Professional Imaging customers and to support the increased demand for machine vision solutions in Japan.

"Japan is a growing market for e2v products and we recognize the importance of providing local support to our expanding customer base," said Anthony Fernandez, Vice President in Asia Pacific at e2v. "The establishment of this larger office is an important step, enabling us to work more closely with our customers as their trusted, expert partner."

On the surface, the move would seem to be a positive one, as the company looks to improve upon its 3.3% growth in fiscal year 2014 from £ 217.7M to £ 224.9 M.
