Expanding on its line of Manta machine vision cameras, Allied Vision has released the Manta G-158 and Manta G-040 GigE Vision cameras, which feature second generation Pregius CMOS image sensors from Sony.
The G-158 camera features the 1.58 MPixel Sony IMX273 image sensor, which has a 3.45 µm pixel size and achieves a frame rate of 75.3 fps. The Manta G-040 camera features the 0.4 MPixel Sony IMX287 image sensor, which has a 6.9 µm pixel size and achieves a frame rate of 286 fps. Higher frame rates can be achieved on both models in burst mode.
Both machine vision cameras feature Allied Vision’s Vimba software development kit and offer the Trigger over Ethernet (ToE) Action Commands feature, which enables users to externally trigger GigE cameras in a network through the Ethernet cable. Additionally, the cameras—which are available in both color and monochrome versions—feature a modular design, enabling users to choose from a variety of hardware options including Power over Ethernet, angled heads, optical filters, lens mounts, and board-level variants facilitating the integration into almost any application, according to the company.
