Color version of app-based embedded vision camera added by IDS

Adding to its new line of IDS NXT app-based embedded vision cameras, IDS Imaging Development Systems has announced the release of a color version of its 1.3 MPixel IDS NXT vegas camera.

Adding to its new line of IDS NXT app-basedembedded vision cameras, IDS Imaging Development Systemshas announced the release of a color version of its 1.3 MPixel IDS NXT vegas camera. The camera features a color EV76C560ACT sensor, which is a 1.3 MPixel global shutter sensor from Teledyne e2v that can achieve a maximum frame rate of 60 fps.

The 185 g camera also has a white LED ring, liquid autofocus lens, Time of Flight distance sensor, OLED display, embedded processor, and a full HALCON Embedded machine vision software runtime license. Additionally, the IP65-rated camera will also feature a new firmware version (1.2), which enables users to set a live image to be mirrored horizontally or vertically in the sensor before processing. The IDS NXT Cockpit, which serves as a PC application for configuring the camera, has also been further developed, with features including auto white balance and color gain configuration.
