Teledyne Dalsa Releases Latest Version of Vision Software

Software includes new tools to design, develop, and deploy machine vision applications

Teledyne Dalsa has launched the latest edition of its Sapera Vision Software. This newest edition includes both the latest version of Teledyne Dalsa’s Astrocyte 1.50 Artificial Intelligence training tool and Sapera Processing 9.50 imaging and AI libraries, which include more than 400 image processing tools, including pattern finding, 1D and 2D barcode and OCR, color processing, separation and measurement applications, blob analysis, and metrology tools.

The software supports image acquisition from various interfaces, including GigE, USB, Camera Link HS, and CoaXPress, and provides image acquisition, processing, and AI software application programming interface (API). Some new features in this edition of the Sapera Vision Software Suite include rotated object detection, which is designed for precise location and orientation of objects or defects, as well as a new series of AI sample applications based on Qt/C++ and .Net/C# languages, and capability to acquire live video into sample applications through Teledyne’s Spinnaker acquisition API.

The software is designed to be used to develop and deploy various machine vision applications such as inspections, location and identification of hardware parts, and sorting.
