Gocator 3D sensor firmware version 5.1 released by LMI Technologies

LMI Technologies has released firmware version 5.1 for its Gocator 3D scanning and inspection sensor. Version 5.1 includes support capabilities for PROFINET and UR integration, a surface segmentation tool that can distinguish between parts even if they are touching or overlapping one another, and a surface track tool that allows the user to define measurement paths.

LMI Technologies has released firmware version 5.1 for its Gocator 3D scanning and inspection sensor. Version 5.1 includes support capabilities for PROFINET and UR integration, a surface segmentation tool that can distinguish between parts even if they are touching or overlapping one another, and a surface track tool that allows the user to define measurement paths.

According to LMI Technologies, firmware version 5.1's tools can increase the Gocator sensor's effectiveness at tasks such as inline grading and sorting of food items, measuring the height and volume of glue beads on electronic devices, and robotic system setup for factory automation applications.
