Single-link CoaXPress frame grabber introduced by Active Silicon
Featuring a single CoaXPress link that supports up to a 6.25 Gbps data rate, the FireBird Single CoaXPress Low Profile frame grabber (1xCXP6-2PE4L) from Active Silicon has been released as a cost-effective imagingboard. The frame grabber features a low-profile design that allows the board—a 4-lane Gen2 PCI Express board—to be used in small 2U enclosures. Additionally, the new GenICam-compliant frame grabber is designed with Active Silicon’s proprietary DMA engine technology, “ActiveDMA,” which applies RISC-based processor techniques and guarantees zero CPU usage, enabling high speed and low latency image data transfers, according to Active Silicon.
