Advantech and Overview AI have jointly launched the OV20i platform, a vision inspection system that combines Advantech’s ICAM-520 edge AI camera with Overview’s deep learning technology. Embedded with NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX system on module, the OV20i platform combines a Sony global shutter IMX296 image sensor (1.6 MPixel), advanced white LED lighting and programmable variable focus lens with image acquisition and AI compute capabilities. It is designed to simplify cloud-to-edge vision AI applications in manufacturing inspection. Overview says the OV20i allows users to set up visual inspection applications ranging from assembly checks to surface defect inspections in under an hour. The system saves relevant process data and creates a traceable visual record for every unit. With dimensions of 82 x 121 x 53 mm, the platform has an SD card slot and HDMI, USB type C, and Micro USB ports.
