Radiant Zemax has announced that it has officially changed its name to Radiant Vision Systems in order to better represent the organization it has become, and will continue to grow into, according to Paul Caragher, Radiant CEO.
With the recent sales of its Zemax optical design software business unit to Arlington Capital Partners, the opportunity for a rebrand presented itself, according to a press release. The Radiant brand has a 20+ year history, beginning when Radiant Imaging was founded, and maintaining the Radiant identity to its established customer base is critical, according to Caragher.
The "Vision Systems" portion of the name refers to the company’s solutions portfolio, which includes integrated CCD image sensor-based systems that are specially calibrated to replicate human visual response to brightness and color. In addition to the rebrand, Radiant Vision Systems has launched a new website, where visitors can learn more about the company’s portfolio, download software, and access educational resources including white papers and webinars.
"This is an exciting time at Radiant," noted Caragher, "the new name marks a milestone in our company history and we look forward to the next chapter. We continue to make significant investments to support our global customers, expand our applications, and grow our team."
