Touted by CMOSIS as the first global shutter 48 MPixel CMOS image sensor, the CMV50000 supports 8k image resolution and targets machine vision and video applications. The image sensor features 7920 x 6004 effective pixels (47.5 MPixel) and 4.6 µm pipelined 8T global shutter pixels which allow exposure during read out, while performing true CDS (Correlated Double Sampling) operation. Additionally, the CMV50000 also has 22 12-bit sub-LVDS data outputs and with each channel running up to 830 Mbps maximum, the sensor can reach 30 fps at full resolution in 12-bit. Higher frame rates can also be reached in row-windowing or two-subsampling mode, which are programmable using the SPI interface.
