Point Grey’s latest addition to its family of Grasshopper3cameras, the GS3-U3-91S6, features a Sony ICX814 1” CCDimage sensor with 3.69 µm x 3.69 µm square pixels. It outputs 3376 x 2704 images at 9 fps with monochrome, raw, or color-interpolated pixel formats. The camera allows users to toggle between single and dual tap sensor readout and address both imaging conditions. This camera uses a proprietary USB 3.0 link layer and frame buffer-based architecture. In addition, it uses an advanced image processing pipeline to enable color interpolation, look up table, gamma correction, and pixel binning. The GS3-U3-91S6 is suitable for use in flat panel inspection, 3D measurement, ophthalmology, flow-scanning cytometry, and fluorescence imaging.
