Sony to Release New High Speed, High Resolution Sensor

The Sony IMX927 is especially designed for machine vision applications that require high speed, high resolution imaging capabilities.

Sony has announced it will release a new high-speed, high resolution, global shutter stacked CMOS sensor, the IMX927. The sensor, one of 8 types and 16 products in Sony’s IMX927 series, utilizes Sony’s Pregius S technology and can achieve 105 MPixel, 10,272 x 10,272 resolution, 102 fps frame rate, and 39.7 mm diagonal image size. It is available in monochrome or color and utilizes backlit pixels that enables low noise and high light collection efficiency.

Designed for industrial use, the IMX927 is especially designed for machine vision applications that require high speed, high resolution imaging capabilities, such as automated optical inspections and three dimensional inspections.

Sample shipment date is  November 2025.
