Sony Semiconductor Solutions Launches New CMOS Image Sensor

Sony Semiconductor Solutions has released a new 3.2 MPixel, 2064 x 1552 resolution stacked CMOS image sensor, the IMX900. Equipped with a global shutter, the sensor is 1/3-type-lens compatible and supports the S-mount M12 lens. The sensor has a 2.25 × 2.25 μm unit cell size and can achieve a frame rate of up to 120 fps. It is equipped with MIPI and SLVS output interfaces. The IMX900 has a 12 mm x 9.4 mm footprint and comes in a ceramic package. The sensor is especially designed for machine vision applications such as barcode reading and robot picking.
