A range of laser diode modules combines an Opnext (OCLARO) laser diode with externally adjustable optics, a Panasonic aspherical glass lens, electronics, and rugged, modular anodized aluminum housing. The laser source is suitable for use in industrial, commercial, and medical applications such as inspection, alignment, and sensing. Compact, continuous-wave (CW), visible or infrared (IR) lasers produce a high-quality elliptical beam with low noise and output stability. The laser diode modules are available at five lasing wavelengths (635, 639, 660, 830, and 852 nm), at powers up to 75 mW.

NEW PRODUCT PRESS RELEASE

HENHAM, UK - The Optoelectronics Company debuts new range of laser diode modules

A complete, compact and cost-effective OEM laser solution

The Optoelectronics Company, a leading global supplier and manufacturer of innovative optoelectronic components including Opnext (OCLARO) laser diodes, Panasonic lenses and Optowell VCSELs, has introduced its own range of laser diode modules designed for OEMs, end-users and systems integrators.

The new range of laser diode modules from the Optoelectronics Company combines a high performance Opnext (OCLARO) laser diode with quality, externally adjustable optics, a Panasonic aspherical glass lens, sophisticated electronics and rugged modular anodised aluminium housing to provide a reliable laser source suitable for use in a variety of industrial, commercial and medical applications such as inspection, alignment and sensing.

The modules are compact, CW, visible or infrared lasers producing a high-quality elliptical beam. They offer a combination of low noise and output stability and are available at five lasing wavelengths (635 nm, 639 nm, 660 nm, 830 nm, and 852 nm), at powers of up to 75 mW. For easy identification they are supplied with coloured end caps. Mechanical dimensions are 12 mm diameter x 53 mm length. Laser engraving, e.g. customer’s part number, is available on request.

With an operating voltage of 3 - 6V DC and a broad ambient temperature operating range from -10 degrees C to +50 degrees C, the modules are also static, surge and reverse-polarity protected and RoHS compliant. Electrical connections are made via external flying leads.

Offering good value for money, laser diode modules require less power, generate less heat, have longer lifetimes and are smaller than other laser sources.

Custom lasing wavelengths, from 405 nm to 852 nm, and power options are also available, as is laser engraving. Both standard and custom configurations provide OEMs, end-users and systems integrators with complete cost-effective laser solutions.
