OmniVision releases image sensor designed for smartphone video recording

The OV02K image sensor from OmniVision is a 2.9 µm sensor which comes in a 1/2.8" optical format. It features 1080p up to 120 fps, supports HDR and dual conversion gain, and has a SNR10 of less than 10 lux.

The OV02K image sensor from OmniVision is a 2.9 µm sensor which comes in a 1/2.8" optical format. It features 1080p up to 120 fps, supports HDR and dual conversion gain, and has a SNR10 of less than 10 lux.

Built on OmniVision's PureCel Plus pixel technology, the OV02K image sensor was designed for smartphones, and specifically for use in secondary cameras in smartphones with multi-camera configurations.
