Featuring Sony's new DepthSense IMX556PLR back-illuminated Time of Flight image sensor with high near-infrared sensitivity, the Helios 3D Time of Flight (ToF) camera from LUCID Vision Labs shows the potential for ToF technology in a variety of industrial applications, including robotic navigation and 3D inspection, and logistic automation, according to the company.
The IMX556PLR sensor features a 640 x 480 array with 10 µm pixel size and can produce depth data at 60 fps over a Power over Ethernet GigE interface. Additionally, the GigE Vision and GenICam-compliant camera has four 850nm VCSEL laser diodes and can be integrated using LUCID’s Arena software development kit or third-party machine vision software. Helios will debut at VISION 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany from November 6-8.
