Cognex Launches New Barcode Readers
Cognex has launched two new AI-powered barcode readers, the DataMan 290, designed to be an all-purpose barcode reader and the DataMan 390, designed for higher resolution and more challenging environments.
The DataMan 290 features embedded AI and advanced decoding algorithms. It has a 1/3 in CMOS global shutter sensor with a minimum exposure speed of 43 μs and a maximum exposure of 200 ms, with external illumination. It has 1440 x 1080 resolution and offers 6.2 mm or 16 mm high speed liquid lens options. It comes with multipurpose or mini light options, which include 4 LED lights (red) and one diffused light (white) and polarized, half-polarized, and clear front cover options. The DataMan 290 is designed to be an all-purpose barcode reader that can be utilized in a variety of applications and environments.
