• Active Silicon Launches New Frame Grabber

    Frame grabber especially designed for machine vision applications, such as high-speed inspections, that use multiple cameras in a vision system.

    Active Silicon recently launched  a new frame grabber, the FireBird 8xCXP-12. The frame grabber comes equipped with Active Silicon’s PCle3.0 x8 interface, which can support either two 4-connection cameras or four 2-connection CXP-6 cameras and achieves 6.8 Gbps transfer speed from the frame grabber to the PC. It supports GenICam, including Gen TL Producer, in Windows or in Linux. It has eight 75 Ohm HD-BNC connectors, each of which operate at CXP speeds up to 12.5 Gbps.

    The FireBird 8xCXP-12 is especially designed for machine vision applications that utilize multiple cameras in a system, including 3D volumetric or stereo imaging applications, such as are used in high speed inspections, metrology and medical imaging.
