Emergent Vision Technologies Announces the Launch of the First Ever 25GigE Line Scan Cameras

Oct. 3, 2018

The EVT Accel Series
Accel LB-8K: The Accel LB-8K is the world’s first line scan machine vision camera to use
the 25GigE Vision interface. Utilizing the E2V 8K Sensor, the LB-8K is an excellent choice
for high-precision, low-noise line scan imaging. The sensor provides line rates of 200KHz
single line, 100KHz bilinear, and 66KHz trilinear at an 8K horizontal resolution. The 8K
sensor in the Accel LB-8K also supports multi-line scan with enhanced control for the
scanning of each line.

The EVT Accel Series will utilize fiber cabling and low cost SFP28 transceivers from 1
meters to 10 kilometers, without the need for fiber converters or repeaters.
The first 25GigE Line Scan Accel Cameras are set to go into production by Q3 2018.

About Emergent Vision Technologies
EVT was founded in 2007 in Vancouver, Canada bringing together over 40+ years of
imaging experience ranging from life science, security and machine vision/industrial
markets. They are the first providers of cameras based the 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GigE) and
25 Gigabit Ethernet (25GigE). 10GigE and 25GigE exceeds the bandwidth of even the
advanced interfaces including USB 3.0, CoaXPress and CameraLink. At the same time the
costs are low and the technology is fully developed since any modern IT network utilizes
the 10GigE and 25GigE standard for broadband data transmission. The GenICam™,
GigEVision® and GenTL™ standards make the integration with all major software libraries
as easy as can be. Since its foundation in 2007, Emergent Vision Technologies Inc. has paved
the way for new imaging innovations with high resolution, high speed cameras. More
