JANUARY 6--Meikle Automation (Kitchener, ON, Canada; www.meikleautomation.com), a supplier of factory automation, recently announced the opening of its new 33,000-square foot facility in Sanford, NC. The new facility is illustrative of the growth in automation business for Meikle Automation and brings the combined facility space to more than 250,000 square feet.

In addition, the company has grown to more than 360 employees. "We are sticking to our proven growth strategy of developing integrated manufacturing and design facilities that allow customer communication across all groups involved in each project," explains Andrew Meikle, president and chief executive officer at Meikle Automation. "This particular expansion is in support of our commitment to improving the quality and innovation of automation systems in the eastern USA."
