ONDEX Automation (Chicago, IL, USA), a factory automation systems integrator, recently acquired Vision and Control Systems (Springfield, NJ, USA), a machine vision and automation systems integrator.
This is ONDEX Automation's fourth acquisition since 2024—the year it was founded with funding from Shore Capital Partners (Chicago, IL, USA).
In addition to Springfield, Vision and Control Systems also has a location Greenville, SC. The integrator is ONDEX Automation’s first acquisition in the vision industry.
Founded in 2011, Vision and Control Systems has developed applications in quality inspection, part assembly, measurement of part tolerances, robot guidance, 3D inspection, line scan imaging, deep learning algorithms, barcode reading, high-speed image acquisition, and SWIR imaging.

Vision and Control Systems is a platinum level integrator for Cognex (Natick, MA, USA) and its engineers also work with products from other vendors, such as Keyence (Osaka, Japan), SICK (Waldkirch, Germany), LMI Technologies (Burnaby, BC, Canada) and Teledyne DALSA (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada).
The company also is a certified integrator for both Universal Robots (Odense, Denmark) and FANUC (Oshino, Japan).
