Vista, a software environment for computer-vision research, has been under development at the University of British Columbia (Canada) since 1991. It allows easy extension to data types other than images, supports computer-vision efforts, and permits programmers to develop new modules or data types. Version 2.1.3 can be downloaded from this site as a gzip-compressed tar file.
