AUGUST 2--DALSA Corporation (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada), a leader in the design, development, and manufacture of high-value digital imaging products and solutions and the provision of semiconductor wafer-foundry services, has reported its second-quarter financial results for the period ended June 30, 2002. Strong results from all operating units and the first full quarter's contribution from recent acquisitions combined to produce the company's most successful quarterly financial outcome to date.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2002, the company reported a 132% increase in total revenue to $31,977,000, up from $13,758,000 in the second quarter of 2001. Net earnings for the three months ended June 30, 2002 were up nearly 8 times to $3,381,000 or $0.25 per share as compared to net earnings of $426,000 or $0.04 per share in the second quarter of 2001.
