At the SPS IPC Drives 2017 automation tradeshow, machine vision will have a large presence, as VDMA Machine Vision has organized a joint pavilion and announced the new Vision Expert Huddles, which will bring together industry experts to discuss and exchange ideas.
From November 28 to 30 in Nuremberg, Germany, the joint pavilion at the tradeshow will feature eight machine vision companies, which include BECOM BLUETECHNIX, iiM, MVtec, Rauscher, Silicon Software, The Imaging Source, SVS-VISTEK, MBJ Imaging, VDMA Machine Vision, and VISION/Messe Stuttgart.
"Trade fair visitors have the opportunity to explore the entire spectrum of image processing solutions at the machine vision pavilion, ranging from software, optical systems and lighting to frame grabbers, sensors and cameras," said Anne Wendel, Director of the VDMA Machine Vision Group.
A panel discussion "Are customizable sensors and machine vision systems the answer to Industry 4.0?" will also be held on Wednesday, November 29, at 3 PM. At this discussion, representatives from Baumer, Stemmer Imaging, Matrix Vision, MVTec, Silicon Software, and Sick will gather to discuss the role of machine vision in Industry 4.0.
Lastly, the VDMA Machine Vision group has organized a two-day forum focusing on machine vision called the Vision Expert Huddles, which are aimed at "fostering exchange between experts from the machine vision industry and trade fair visitors, customers and end users."
