At The Vision Show 2018, Omron Microscan will showcase a range of its latest machine vision and factory automation solutions, including its line of MicroHAWK smart cameras and barcode readers.

The latest release in this line, the HAWK MV-4000 family of smart cameras (pictured), is available in four different models, each of which is offered in color or monochrome versions. The cameras feature a dual core processor and FPGA and utilize PYTHON CMOS image sensors from ON Semiconductor ranging in size from 0.3 to 5 MPixels with a pixel size of 4.8 µm. Utilizing state-of-the-art algorithms, according to the company, HAWK MV-4000 smart cameras perform code reading, code verification, inspection, guidance, and gauging. Additionally, the smart cameras—which come with lens, lights, cable, and mounts—has an image-centric user interface with drag-and-drop programming.

Also on display at the Omron Microscan booth will be the HS-360X ultra-rugged direct part mark handheld scanner, the Omron LD series of self-navigating autonomous intelligence vehicles, which is designed for dynamically moving material in challenging environments. Additionally, the company will showcase its FH vision systems, which are designed for integration with PLCs, motion controllers, and robotic control systems.
