Built to capture license plate images in one lane traffic at ranges up to 100 m (328 ft) during the day and 50 m (164 ft) at night, the AXIS Q1700-LE camera can, according to the manufacturer, capture sharp license plate images on vehicles traveling up to 130 km/h (81 mph).
The AXIS Q1700-LE license plate has IP66, NEMA 4X, and IK10 protection ratings, and has been designed to withstand hurricane force winds up to 60 m/s (134 mph). Nighttime capture range can be extended to 100 m with the addition of the AXIS T90D20 IR-LED Illuminator.
The camera will be available in August 2019.
