Keyence Launches New Sensor Series With Built-in AI
Keyence has launched a new vision sensor series, the IV4 series. The new sensors features built-in AI, which includes such tools as AI Identify, AI OCR, AI Count, and AI Trigger. They can be installed at distances between 50 mm and 3 m and have narrow and wide field of view options. They also feature a high-speed AI accelerator that enables them to detect up to 15,000 parts/minute. They do not require a dedicated PC, as all processing is done in the sensor.
The IV4 sensor series is designed for a variety of machine vision applications, including inspections, in such sectors as the packaging, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
