Cognex Launches New AI-Powered barcode/imagers
Cognex recently launched its first set of a new line of imaging products, the SLX line. This first set of products includes the SLX-280D, barcode reader designed for zone routing systems and tote inspection; SLX-290, an imaging device designed for item detection, classification, and barcode reading; and SLX 3816, a high-resolution side-by-side detection and large-format top-side barcode reader.
The SLX-280D and SLX 290 both feature a 1.6 MPixel, 1440 x 1080 resolution 1/3 in CMOS global shutter monochrome sensor that can achieve up to 45Hz fps acquisition speed. The SLX-280 is equipped with a wide-angle integrated red light; the SLX-290 has a wide-angle, integrated white light.
The SLX-3816 features a 16.13 MPixel, 5320 x 3032 resolution,1.1 in CMOS sensor with 16.9 mm diagonal size and 2.74 x 2.74 pixel size. It can achieve up to 18Hz fps acquisition speed, and it is equipped with a high-powered integrated torch light.
These devices are especially designed for machine vision applications in such areas as logistics.
